News has emerged that HYBE, the largest music planning company in South Korea, has urgently initiated an audit of the management of Adore, the label under which the representative K-pop girl group newjeans is signed.
HYBE reportedly began collecting evidence as soon as they detected movements from Adore’s head, Representative Min Hee-jin, suggesting she was planning to sever ties with the parent company and become independent.
A spokesperson for HYBE confirmed, “The power of audit has indeed been invoked against Adore’s management due to suspicions of an attempt to take control of the company.”
Representative Min Hee-jin is known as a star producer who gained a high reputation in the music industry for her unique and creative color sense and expression while handling the concepts and brands of famous idol groups such as Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and EXO at SM Entertainment in the past.
